My great grandfather was James Edward Sole born 1824 in Hackney.

He was married twice: 1st to Mary Jane Wood in 1871 and then married Fanny Holt Holt in 1887. He had one son William with Mary, and another son Leonard George with Fanny who was my grandfather. James's father was James Sole and mother was Elizabeth Kidd.

The Society's database records seven children for James Edward Sole - four by Maria Wood (Mary, b 1872, William, b 1876, James, b 1874, Samuel b 1878) and three by Fanny Holt (Leonard, b 1885, Maudy, b 1887, and Annie, b 1890).
