In my local family history newsletter the following post was inserted. Hope it helps, Lorraine
SEWELL REUNION The descendants of
George SEWELL are invited to gather in the
Southern Highlands of NSW on the weekend
commencing 5th November 2011 at Mittagong
RSL Club. George SEWELL came from
Beverley in Yorkshire and arrived in Sydney as a
convict in 1814. His wife, Ellen, and their
children arrived soon after. Following his seven
year sentence, George was granted land by the
Governor and, in 1828, settled in Sutton Forest
near Moss Vale.
